UM Temple Sunday School
Sunday School Starts at 10 a.m.
United Methodist Temple believes that Sunday School Classes are an
important part of the church program for people of all ages. They provide an opportunity
to learn more about the Bible and how we can apply messages learned to our own lives.
Sunday School also provides an opportunity to get to know others in a more informal
setting. In addition to classes for children, middle school, high school and college age,
United Methodist Temple offers several adult classes that welcome people of all ages. We
invite you to visit different classes to find which is the best fit for you.

TGIF Class
TGIF stands for "Together, Growing In Friendship". Our class
consists of
men and women, ages 35 & up who share mutual concerns, such as
parenting and personal conflict. Our studies vary with direction towards how our faith
helps us to deal with life concerns. We take turns teaching and bringing snacks. Our
discussions become lively at times. We enjoy preparing and serving the occasional dinner
to support church needs. We welcome new members and visitors. Come see what were are all
about.

Friendship Class
The Friendship Class is a long-established class at UMT. It consists, as
the name suggests, of friendly, caring and sharing people. Our members represent a variety
of professions and occupations. Most are 50+ years of age, but anyone of any age is
welcome to come and take part in the lesson. Sessions generally begin with the presenting
of any special items of interest about upcoming church events, cares or concerns about
members that are ill or who have lost a loved one, or praises and joys for healing and
happy occasions. A teacher then presents the lesson for that Sunday, taken from an Adult
Bible Studies curriculum (Cokesbury). Following and during the presentation there are
questions, discussion, and examples given by members of the group. If you have questions,
please feel fee to contact Carl Riddle (299-2786) or a member of the class that you may
know. We invite and welcome you to come and join us. You'll be glad you did!

FaithLinks Class
The FaithLinks class studies current issues as they relate to the daily
lives of Christians, the Social Principles of the United Methodist Church, and the life of
the local church. Discussions are based on online curriculum materials, yet are informal
and guided by interests of group members. The group addresses a new topic each week, so
interested participants may join and attend at any time and feel a part of the discussion.
The age of group members varies widely, as do life circumstances such as
marital status, age of children, type of education and employment. New members, occasional
members and members who may arrive at Sunday School a bit later than the scheduled 10 a.m.
are always welcome.
