Local Missions

• 14th & Chestnut Community Center – Meal programs, after school programs and community development in inner city Terre Haute.

• United Campus Ministries – ISU, Rose-Hulman, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.

• Short-term Mission Scholarship Fund – This is a fund to help members of UM Temple who are interested in serving on short-term mission teams. Funds are distributed by the Missions Committee.

• Gary’s Place-This fund goes to assist in the financial need of Gary's Place, a home for girl in need of assistance..

• Wabash Valley Habitat for Humanity:

U.S. Missions

• Mid-West Mission Distribution Center - A caring ministry of the United Methodist Church – the center helps package materials and distribute them to disaster and mission areas.

• Red Bird Missionary Conference (Kentucky) - The mission of Red Bird Missionary Conference is to witness for Jesus Christ in Appalachia.

• Tree of Life Native American Ministry (South Dakota) - The Tree of Life Ministry is a Ministry of Presence to the people of the Rosebud, Crow Creek, Lower Brule and Spirit Lake Nation Reservations. 

World Missions

• Joy in the Harvest (Congo and Tanzania) - Mission work by Lowell and Claudia Wertz.
• Africa University (Zimbabwe) - Africa University is the only United Methodist-related, degree-granting university approved by the General Conference for all of Africa.
• Rio de Janeiro Ministry to Street Children - Helps feed and shelter street children at risk in Rio de Janeiro.
• Russia UM Theological Seminary - Trains pastors for ministry in Moscow and surrounding areas.

• Gary's Place - Gary's Place provides a safe, nurturing house for teen girls aged 12-18 who are homeless by choice or circumstance.

• Wabash Valley Habitat for Humanity - Helping build affordable housing for those who cannot afford it otherwise.

• Council on Domestic Abuse - Offering crisis intervention and counseling by trained staff who can identify and respond to domestic violence situations.  Information and referral to pertinent community resources are also available.

• CROP Walk - Raising awareness and financial aid for hunger locally and around the world.
